If you are missing two or three teeth in a row, a bridge can be created which will be anchored in place by two dental implants.
You may know that when you receive a dental bridge, the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth (or teeth) must be shaped to receive a crown. With a dental implant, there’s no need to touch these healthy teeth. Additionally, implants provide stimulation to the jaws which keeps them in good health; conventional bridges do not.
Implant-supported dentures contribute to good jawbone health; conventional dentures do not.
Additionally, you lose the restrictions that accompany wearing conventional dentures. Your dentures are securely anchored so you can eat what you want. Your dentures will not slip while you are laughing or eating.
Also, implant-supported dentures are more comfortable than conventional dentures because they are anchored to the implants. There’s no pressure on the gums so no sore spots develop.

Dr. Montgomery understands that some people need assistance to get the dental care they need. Please call us and tell us your concerns and let us work out a solution that’s perfect for you. As Dr. Montgomery says, “We welcome wimps!”
Your first step is an examination to ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy and free from disease. This examination would also check the density and strength of the bone in your jaw.
