People of all ages are welcome! We have had many visits from patients aged one to three years old and encourage very early trips to the dentist. The youngest patient that visited us was 10 months old. (Check out our Facebook pages to see a few smiling faces).

We recommend that children come to the dentist once their teeth start appearing. Early visits allow us to monitor their oral development while ensuring that they have positive experiences at the dental office. We want to help children establish a routine of coming in regularly and comfortably, setting the stage for lifelong oral health.

We encourage parents to consider that, along with the oral care we provide, comes the emotional care that all dental patients need, especially our littlest ones. We don't set out with the mindset, "Get out of our way, we are on a mission to get the teeth cleaned!" The goal in the early appointments is to begin to build trust, taking the first steps to a lifelong relationship. We want children to have already visited us and feel comfortable at our office before any dental issues arise, rather than having their first appointment during a time when more invasive treatments, like those that involve a needle, might be necessary.

We approach our little ones with tender loving care and patience, asking them to open wide and say "AHHH" or, even better, bellow out the sound of their favorite animal. For instance, "ROARRR!" is easy and fun. When the goal is to focus on getting our little ones comfortable with us, the mission of cleaning will often naturally turn out to be quite easy... and an EASY experience is awesome for ALL!

We work with most types of PPO insurances, excluding Medicaid. Although the contract for insurance is between you and your insurance company, we can estimate procedure coverage prior to submitting claims for your convenience, tapping into our experience in dealing with insurance companies. We do our best to estimate based on the info that we gather, but from time to time, the estimates and actual payment from the insurance are not as we had predicted. When this happens, we need to adjust the patient portion up or down after the claim is processed.
